Stéphane Grappelli French star of jazz-violin

Stéphane Grappelli and Jean Luc Ponty are undeniably the jazz violinists who have contributed the most to jazz and improvised violin over the past decade, each with a very different style:

Stéphane Grappelli,
with his fluid and relaxed swing using in a very imaginative way the notes of the blues by arranging them in an always light and twirling way, first with his brilliant companion Django Reinhardt, then with the greatest jazz stars in the world with whom he is always shown very comfortable. Jazz violinists, like Michel Warlop, as well as the greatest classical violinists have all been impressed by his talent.

Jean Luc Ponty,
with his very harmonically detailed and richly varied style which makes him recognized as an inspired melodist.

Jean Luc Ponty's airy and ultra-precise playing is very convincing for the ears of all audiences that he breathes to the rhythm of several cultures, as well as classical as bebop fusion, freejazz, African, or American country.
Not only all jazz violinists in the world have been inspired by him, but also a large number of non-violinist jazzmen

The two violinists are still to this day the most internationally renowned contemporary French musicians.
Their numerous tours in all countries of the globe have made them famous and recognized by all musicians and audiences on the planet.
